Dominican Hair stylist Demand
Nearly every woman that I know has asked me to recommend a Dominican hair stylist. I have become overwhelmed with the number of requests, yet very happy to see my paisana’s getting some business. Dominican Salons keep popping up left and right, as I drive through out the city I see signs of “Dominican Place” and “Dominican stylist,” my mother often laughs when she sees the signs. She remembers when they were barely any Dominican stylist in the Washington, DC area and everyone went to the same five salons. Due to the recent surge in popularity they are like 7-11’s, just like on every other block.
No matter the hair texture many women are learning of Dominican hair stylists and dropping in as fast as they open up. Many women that are already familiar with Dominican hair salons know the common theme through out all of them. Just like any other typical salon there’s a waiting area, chairs, sinks, and mirrors. But with a Dominican salon you are bound to find a line of women with colorful rollers under the dryer, waiting to go through yet another process … Yes the ever so popular bouncy blow dry. The stylist has the dryer in one hand and the round brush in the other, and you better be ready. When she comes down with the brush and blow dryer you are going to feel the heat. If you haven’t had a touch-up in nearly three to five months you’re fine; you will walk out of there as if you had gotten a touch-up.
Some claim since the Dominican Republic is so diverse in ethnicity and color that the stylists have mastered the skills of managing all hair textures and lengths. Others claim the reason why Dominican hair stylists are so good at what they do is because of the products that they use. The products are generally natural and are extremely easy to use. Dominican hair products leave your hair feeling soft and full of body with a soft enticing aroma.
Once you are done inside of the salon, your hair has a bounce to it that only can be left best described as a weightless elegance. Your hair will flow through the breeze and bounce with every step that you take. At that point you feel as though you are the envy of every woman, not only because you look amazing but when you walk her man’s head turns in your alluring direction. This may seem like a fantasy, but this is the outcome of using Dominican hair care products and going to a Dominican stylist.
Enough of me ranting and raving about Dominican hair salons and stylists, I want to hear from you. What have been your experiences with Dominican hair stylists?
