December’s Featured Dominican Stylist - Noemis Rodriguez

Published by JenniferMD at 4:39 pm under Featured Stylists

This month our featured Dominican stylist is Noemis Rodriguez of Metro Salon Studio in Atlanta, GA

Noemis is originally from the Dominican Republic. She came to the U.S. as a young woman with intentions of “making it” in the salon industry. Five years ago, she began working as an assistant in several salons and received her Masters License in New York City, becoming an expert at her craft. Her specialty is the ability to make any hair straight and bouncy. She can take the finest hair and give it a voluminous effect or make the most unruly curls straight with ease without the use of chemicals.

Noemis joined Metro Salon Studio October of 2007 immediately after moving to the Atlanta area. She states “I chose to work at Metro Salon Studio because of their belief in customer service and their choice of plant based organic products. The client is always treated special and everyone here is a team player.”

Noemis is at the salon five days a week except Sunday and Monday. She is well versed on Aveda and Dominican products.

I live in North Carolina but will travel to ATL cause I got family there. I will go to get my hair tamed one day. I love my curly wavy hair but somedays I want straight hair and Ms. Rodriguez sounds like the right person. Best to ya Mami you work it all the way to the bank, but always keep the man upstairs first and you will go far.

    Hello Ladies!

Thank you so much for your support! We do have a website. It is www.metrosalonstudio.com and you can also see us at myspace.com/metrosalonstudio for more recent pics.

I look forward to meeting all of you and please feel free to call us if you have any questions about the health of your hair. As we said before, we use Aveda (certified organic and plant based) and dominican products.

    Thanks again,
    Noemis Rodriguez

    Noemis,

Do you have any qualms regarding blowing out kinky coily hair?

Im curious because I know of many Dominican Stylists that will encourage a relaxer or are uncomfortable straightening kinky hair types.

Hairtypes similar to =Macy Gray, Erykah Badu

    Thanks

    Hola Noemis!!!
Felicidades en tu carrera de sylista y que Dios te bendiga!
Conoces alguien in la cuidad de Memphis, TN quien sabe a hacer pelo con sabor dominicana!!! Ayudame!!!!!!

    Hi Lilly,
We do all types of hair. We actually discourage hair relaxing when we find its not necessary. If you maintain a weekly or bimonthly regimen of blowdrying your hair, you will not need a relaxer. The best time to begin “training” your hair is in the winter, so now is a great time to start.
Call us at 404-373-5740 to set an appointment and make sure you visit our myspace.com/metrosalonstudio page to see before and afters.
Take care and hope to see you soon!

    Hi Linda,
Gracias por las Bendiciones! No conozco a nadie en Tennessee, pero cuando usted quiera, venga al salon. Tennessee no es tan lejos, solo tres horas! : )
    Dios te Bendiga,

I am new to this website with the recommendation
of my hairdresser back home in CT.
Wanted to know if you do roller set then blowdry.
This is the method I most like, my hair tends to stay soft
    and straight this way.
I also wanted to know if the products used in your salon
are also for sale to the General Public. I am in the Augusta
area for a short while and would like to maintain my hair with
good product. I would like to make an appointment on the weekend
    due to my schedule.

    Thanks in Advance
    Evelyn
